The developers of Battlefront 2 do not hesitate to put Anakin Skywalker’s most embarrassing words in his mouth. It’s about sand.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is still being developed and supplied with new content. Now the release of Anakin Skywalker is approaching, who will jump across the battlefields in his likeness from Episode 3. The developers have had some fun by incorporating one of his most embarrassing quotes into the game.
What quote is it about? In Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, there is a rather quiet scene between Padme and Anakin. Anakin tries to get closer to Padme and attempts it with this brilliant segue:
“I don’t like sand. It’s rough and coarse and irritating. It’s everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.”

At least the first part of it (about the sand) Anakin will be able to say in Battlefront 2, as he brings death and destruction among the enemy troops.
Why is the quote so embarrassing? When memes were still in their infancy, the quote was already mocked on the internet. It was wildly discussed, and George Lucas had to endure a lot of criticism for “bad writing.” Also, Hayden Christensen’s performance in the scene was repeatedly the target of insults and ridicule.
The whole scene seemed silly and “cringy” and was deemed unworthy of Star Wars.

It shows that one can look back at the past of Star Wars with a bit of humor. Moreover, the quote, despite its negative appraisal, is one of the most well-known scenes from Star Wars on the internet.
What can Anakin do? Besides his voice line, Anakin is a strong Force user who can deal significant damage with his lightsaber and is equipped with the following four abilities:
- Passionate Strike: A strike against a single enemy that breaks their defenses and deals high damage.
- Heroic Impact: As long as Anakin holds this ability, he takes less damage. If he releases it, he pushes all nearby enemies away. The range and strength are increased by the damage he absorbs with the ability.
- Pull Dominance: Anakin pulls enemies in front of him to a concentrated point, making them easier to attack.
- Retribution: When Anakin and his allies are attacked, this attack builds up. It releases in a fast and inevitable grip that captures all nearby enemies.
