Even if you’re an animal lover – for stylish decor in World of Warcraft, you may turn a blind eye. Or squash a snail into the ground.
World of Warcraft is full of achievements that can take a long time to complete. While most of these achievements are relatively self-explanatory and obvious, like completing a dungeon or winning 100 battlegrounds in PvP, there are also several achievements that seem utterly absurd.
One of the most absurd achievements of this kind comes from the expansion Legion and the dungeon “Neltharion’s Lair”. In this dungeon, you must squash a whole bunch of snails with a gigantic stone slab. This is somewhat like the Drogbar version of Pokémon. But at least there’s a unique piece of furniture for your house as a reward.
What kind of achievement is this? We’re talking about the achievement “Got to Ketchum All,” which is a reference to Pokémon in its title. For this achievement, you must enter the dungeon Neltharion’s Lair in the Highlands of Legion. Your task is a bit cruel, but quite simple: Find 7 different snails in the dungeon and squash them with a large stone slab to collect their “imprints.” This is kind of like the Pokémon version of the somewhat simple-minded Drogbar.
The achievement is also part of the meta-achievement “Glory of the Hero of Legion”.
What reward do you get? Once you complete the achievement, you’ll receive the decorative item “Tauren Jeweler’s Roller.” While it may not be the most visually impressive item, it goes well with pretty much everything in housing.
After completing the achievement, you can buy additional copies of the roller from the NPCs Ransa Graufeder or Torv Dubstampf in Thunder Totem.
A small TikTok video from MrRoguery shows the entire process:

7 Snails you need to squash …
Where do you find the snails? The 7 snails are scattered throughout the dungeon Neltharion’s Lair, but you also need to find the “Ketchum Tablet” first. Follow these steps:
After the dungeon starts, jump into the hole and slide down the water slide. Pass by the spiritwalker Ebenhorn and keep to the right – there’s a small path leading to the NPC “Mushroom Merchant.” Here you can buy the Ketchum Tablet.
Your task now is to squash a total of 7 snails with unique names using the Ketchum Tablet. Important: The snails must still be alive at that time! Here you can find the snails:
- After the first boss, you need to ride down a water slide with barrels and you can throw fish at Drogbar. You can spot the snail Schuppi on a mushroom on the left wall. Hit her with the “throw fish” action so she gets swept down with you. After that, Schuppi will be on the ground next to you and can be squashed with the stone slab.
- Blinki can be found immediately after – dive into the small lake where you just landed and into an underwater cave. He is surrounded by electricity. Your tank has to spot the snail so that she leaves the electric field and can be squashed with the tablet.
- Schleimi can be found before the second boss. There’s a large branch on the map to the left that is only used for a world quest. It’s best to use the “/target Schleimi” command and mark the snail with a raid symbol to see her better.
- Whiplash Snapper, Turbax and Flame can be found right after the second boss. Defeat the first group of enemies. The snails run in a circle here – you can squash all three with the tablet.
- Leimi can be found if you go further north, so not toward the next boss. There’s a water area here. Follow the path north until you reach a cave with basilisks. Defeat the basilisks and then look up at the ceiling of the cave. A tank must use taunt on Leimi so he falls down and can be “picked up” by the Ketchum Tablet.
By the way: You can keep the Ketchum Tablet after obtaining the achievement. It’s also good for hitting the annoying jumping mage in the raid group or flattening defeated enemies in PvP.
Overall, this is one of the more absurd achievements in World of Warcraft and perhaps a little cruel – but what wouldn’t you do for a new decorative element in housing to live stylishly like a Tauren or Drogbar?
If you want even more decorative items – Patch 12.0 has added some new ones that you can earn right now.
