In the Disturbing Visions of World of Warcraft, you can request help. But you definitely shouldn’t do that.
The Disturbing Visions in Patch 11.1.5 of World of Warcraft are finally live. Many fresh rewards await, such as the new, powerful head enchantments, as well as a lot of new features, like an NPC companion named Soridormi, who can accompany you into the visions.
However, you should make a wide berth around this companion NPC. Because instead of helping you, the dragon lady makes everything much, much more exhausting.
How does Soridormi affect you? If you take advantage of Soridormi’s help, she will accompany you either as a healer, tank, or DPS character into the Disturbing Visions. That initially sounds like a good deal – at least until you realize that Soridormi counts as a full player character.
This means that the entire Disturbing Vision now scales as if you had an additional player on your side.
Enemies that previously had 500,000 health points will then have 1,000,000 health points – with bosses, this has an even more drastic effect.
Is that really so bad? Yes, it is. Because even though Soridormi naturally helps in her respective role and definitely tries to compensate for her presence, she is significantly weaker than an additional player character.
This is especially problematic given the fact that Disturbing Visions have a natural time limit. Because every few seconds, your “Mental Health” decreases, and if it reaches 0, your visit ends immediately.
If the enemies have more health points, it takes you significantly longer to kill them, which means you use more time and lose more “Mental Health”.
The only real advantage is that Soridormi can resurrect you in case of death. Then it might make sense to take her along.
At this point, there is a clear recommendation: Tell Soridormi that you are not dependent on her help. She may be a little miffed, but the dragon lady will have to live with it until Blizzard gets her scaling a bit better under control.
