The firm State Farm Insurance has set a new standard. In a new commercial on YouTube, they showcase Batman, Gotham, and some city inhabitants so well that it is even praised by comic fans. Above all, the Joker is celebrated?
Bateman meets Batman
What can be seen in the commercial? The commercial titled Batman vs. Bateman shows the chaotic city of Gotham. James Gordon calls for Batman, but only Jason Bateman appears in a dark costume, with a B
on his chest. The hook of the clip is the question of what happens when you get Bateman when you want Batman.
Alongside Jason Bateman and Batman, various villains from the comics also appear. You see Catwoman, Two-Face, the Riddler, and the Joker. The costumes look high-quality, and overall, the clip is produced quite well. It could really be a Batman movie.
The designs of the characters remind one of a mix of comics, the Tim Burton film adaptation, and the popular animated series from the 90s. The dialogues are wonderfully absurd, especially thanks to Bateman’s charm.
