In Pokémon GO there are Crypto Raids that are not exactly easy. However, the current Rocket Event brings help.
What has changed? A week ago, several changes for the remote raid passes in Pokémon GO were announced. The first of these are now active.
- The daily remote raid limit has been increased from 5 to 10. This means more remote raids are now possible in a day.
- And since the start of the Rocket takeover, another change is active: You can now join Crypto Raids using a remote raid pass.
Previously, participation in the difficult Rocket Raids was only possible if you were on site. Now you can join from anywhere if you receive an appropriate invitation to such a raid.
This is to consider: Remote raid passes are not free, and you have to spend coins in the shop to obtain them. You still receive the regular raid pass per day, but it only allows for on-site raids.
However, if you have not been able to participate in Crypto Raids so far because you lacked players, this is an opportunity to find more players now.
The problem with Crypto Raids
Crypto Raids are generally a bit more difficult than normal raids, which is why you often need more trainers to complete the raid together. However, since participation was previously only possible directly at the gym, you had to either organize into groups or simply hope that someone else would happen to join.
Especially in places where not many trainers are around, this is challenging.
With the change, you can now also participate in raids from afar, where more players are available. For this, you can get invited by friends or use an app for remote raid invitations – we will show you how to do this here.
What’s next for remote raid passes?
In fact, another change is coming, as you will soon be able to participate in Dynamax battles from afar. These have similar hurdles to the Crypto Raids, especially in the higher difficulty levels. Participation in Dynamax battles via remote pass is set to be introduced on May 19.
This way, you will also be able to participate in the difficult Dyna battles in the near future when you lack players nearby.
