I thought it was very clever that the one person who longs so much for love realizes that maybe they must first love themselves. They do not have to come through someone else, and that is a very beautiful way to conclude a character’s story. He has developed so much as a character in the last seasons, and you could see how he became less dependent on all the things he thought he needed, which is very nice.
Raj’s character development shows that the search for a partner does not define whether one is happy. After all, all his relationships ended on a bitter note. When looking at the other scientists, all 4 have grown as characters through their relationships. Particularly Raj, as he has mastered many of his problems in 12 seasons.
