Many of the games from the series Squid Game would probably have also led the real actors to fail. One has now admitted that he had particular problems with one game – but it wasn’t the game itself, rather it was a physical characteristic.

Which game did the actor have problems with? In episode 4 of Squid Game, the players learn that they must face five different children’s games known in Korea as a team of five. One of the games is the spinning top. In this game, a string is first wrapped around the top before it is quickly unwound and gains its spin.
In the episode, player 001 has trouble getting the top to spin. As the games must be completed within a certain time limit, the pressure on him increases. However, his teammates manage to calm him down, allowing them to win the game.

Actor uses the wrong hand in Squid Game
What difficulties did the actor face? There is another reason why player 001 suddenly gets the top to spin: In all his failed attempts, he was using his right hand. In fact, the player is left-handed, which is why the top starts spinning immediately when he uses his left hand to pull the string.
However, Lee Byung-hun, the actor portraying player 001, is right-handed in real life. So he had to improvise during the game and pretend to fail with his actually strong hand, as he reveals in a YouTube video from Netflix K-Content:
Here [in the spinning top game, editor’s note] is the problem I encountered. I am actually right-handed, but the Frontman in the series is left-handed. I was worried that I would make too many mistakes while turning the scene.
Unfortunately, the actor does not reveal how many attempts it ultimately took until the scenes were in the can. Whether Byung-hun did a good job and was able to convincingly play a left-hander despite being right-handed, you can see for yourself.
