29-year-old Kaitlyn Siragusa has built an empire as “Amouranth” with risqué content on Twitch and the paid platform OnlyFans. She often walks the line of what is allowed on the streaming platform. Now she reveals how she evaded a permanent ban that had permanently banned her rival Indiefoxx from Twitch in 2021.
What was the rivalry like? In 2021, a new meta took over the streaming platform Twitch: female streamers were splashing in hot tubs and licking their microphones in the ASMR category.
Two female streamers stood out particularly with this type of content: Amouranth and Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres. The two streamers competed for viewers.
Indiefoxx accused Amouranth of copying her content and profiting from her creativity – it made her sick (via dexerto).
How did the feud end? In June 2021, Indiefoxx was eventually banned permanently from Twitch and switched to YouTube. Amouranth, on the other hand, became one of the most successful streamers on the platform.
In an interview with the U.S. site Dexerto, Amouranth now provides some background on the ban.

How does Amouranth describe the situation today? In the interview, the streamer discusses the controversial “Ear Licking” meta: female streamers lay in tight leggings on their beds and licked their microphones.
“All the girls did it,” says Amouranth.
This went too far for many viewers and eventually also for Twitch, leading the platform to implement bans against the licking.
Amouranth explains that she and Indiefoxx were among the first to be banned. But while she apparently took the warning seriously and adjusted her content, Dagres was driven by the rivalry between the two to produce increasingly provocative content.
I was one of the first to be banned, and she was too. I withdrew and started creating safer content, but she continued and crossed the lines. So I pulled back in time, but because she didn’t, she got banned.
So one could say that I lured her into being banned, but I just tried to pull back.
Thus, Amouranth unintentionally managed to outshine her biggest competitor on Twitch. Indiefoxx herself confirmed about a year after her ban that she was banned due to a wardrobe malfunction in her last ASMR stream.
The story shows that Amouranth, despite the apparent frivolity of her content, acts very thoughtfully and calculated. For years, she has been testing the limits of Twitch without jeopardizing her career on the streaming platform. Even her first ban in 2019 turned out to be an advantage for her:
