For a long time, the Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie was considered the king of YouTube and had the most subscribers as an individual on the popular platform. However, now a competitor from the United States has knocked him off his throne.
Who is the new king of YouTube? Since November 14, Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is the YouTuber with the most subscribers. He has therefore surpassed Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg aka PewDiePie.
MrBeast began his career as a YouTuber in 2012 with Minecraft videos. The 24-year-old is now known primarily for crazy stunts and challenges. For instance, MrBeast gave away chocolate on the internet in April 2022 and completely underestimated how much money it would cost him.
In November 2021, MrBeast also made headlines when he recreated the Netflix series Squid Game and awarded $456,000 in prize money to the winner. With his version of Squid Game, he also set a record of 42.6 million views in 24 hours for a non-trailer or music video, which he lost in March 2022 to the slap by Will Smith at the Oscars.

How many subscribers does MrBeast have? When MrBeast surpassed PewDiePie in subscribers on November 14, screenshots circulated on the internet shortly thereafter, showing him with 111.85 million subscribers and demonstrating that he knocked his competitor off the YouTube throne.

As MrBeast’s growth has not slowed down, the numbers for the 24-year-old have continued to rise. The YouTuber has now reached 111.9 million subscribers according to the website livecounts.io. The site publicly shares data on known social media platforms and claims to have the corresponding data from YouTube.
With still nearly 111.8 million subscribers, the former YouTube king does not need to hide. The Swede can still look forward to the milestone of being the first person to have 100 million subscribers for a long time.

Which channel really has the most subscribers? The list of YouTube channels with the most subscribers is not led by a well-known YouTuber, but by a music agency from India. T-Series is followed by 229 million accounts. However, brand and company channels are often not included in many lists.
