Tarisland launched on June 21, 2024, and since then you have the choice between nine classes and 18 specializations. MeinMMO presents the various archetypes and reveals whether there are comparable counterparts in World of Warcraft.
Since June 21, 2024, the servers of the Free2Play MMORPG Tarisland have been online. If you are still looking for information about the release, system requirements, and other basics, check it out here. In this article, MeinMMO summarizes everything you need to know about the nine classes.
As Tarisland is heavily inspired by World of Warcraft in many areas, you will also find out here whether there are comparable classes for the archetypes from Tarisland in the great role model WoW.
These classes exist in Tarisland:
- Warrior – Fury & Shield
- Paladin – Vigil & Justice
- Ranger – Tamed Beast & Hunting
- Barbarian Fighter – Frozen & Thunder
- Bard – Harmony & Solo
- Priest – Faith & Prayer
- Magician – Frost & Fire
- Shadow Bladeslinger – Cunning & Duel
- Phantom Necromancer – Soul Robbery & Soul Healing
The cinematic trailer of Tarisland sets the mood for the launch:
The Tarisland Classes in the Guide: The Warrior
- 1st Specialization: Fury (Melee Damage)
- 2nd Specialization: Shield (Melee Tank)
- Weapon: Sword and Shield or two swords
- Comparable class from WoW: Fury or Protection Warrior
- Race: Human
- Gender: Male
The class abilities of Shield
- Shield Strike: Consumes a small amount of AP. Use your shield to hit the target, dealing physical damage and gaining resistance.
- Trampling Storm: Consumes a small amount of AP. Stomps the ground, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and briefly reducing their movement speed. This skill can grant resistance when cast. Additional resistance is granted for each target hit.
- Shield Attack: Consumes a medium amount of AP. Attack the target with your shield, causing physical damage, gaining resistance, and increasing secondary attributes related to strikes for a certain duration.
- Reinforced Barrier: Consumes a large amount of resistance. Gain a damage-absorbing shield. The remaining absorption amount when the shield is exchanged is incorporated into the new effect.
- Last Resistance: Stimulates your potential, increases your maximum HP for a certain duration, and then immediately restores a specific amount of HP.
- Impenetrable: Turn into a strong shield that protects everyone. This allows you to reduce incoming damage for a certain period and increase defense-related secondary attributes.
The Shield specialization has ultimate abilities such as Taunting, Interrupting, Control, and Healing Reduction.
The resources of Shield are AP and resistance. During combat, AP is gradually restored. Using an ability consumes AP. Each time you successfully block an opponent’s attack or cast a skill that consumes AP, you gain resistance. Consuming resistance can enhance the absorption effect of Reinforced Barrier and increase the Warrior’s protection. The Tarisland class is one of the three tanks in the game.
Here you can see gameplay of the Warrior class:
The class abilities of Fury
- Cross Strike: Quickly attack the target twice and deal physical damage each time. Casting this skill grants a small amount of Fury. Can be charged twice.
- Last Blow: Deliver a final blow to the target that causes physical damage and grants a lot of Fury. If the target’s health is low, this skill deals additional damage.
- Fury Blade: Must consume Fury. Transform the power of Fury into a blade to attack the target twice and deal physical damage each time.
- Armor Penetration: Break the target’s defense with a powerful blow, deal physical damage, and increase the damage you deal to the target for a certain duration.
- Blade Whirlwind: Turn into a blade storm and attack surrounding enemies multiple times within a certain period, dealing physical damage each time. You can move while the skill is being cast, and you are immune to movement-reducing effects. Immunization is not possible against some boss abilities.
- Endless Fury: Unleashes endless Fury, increasing the basic Fury gain of all skills and also the secondary attributes of combos for a certain period.
From immediate Displacement, HP recovery to precise Interrupts, slowing speed on the battlefield, releasing body restrictions, and even reducing the healing ability of opponents, Fury specialization Warriors possess all kinds of ultimate skills.
The exclusive class resource of Fury specialization Warriors is – not surprisingly – Fury. You gain Fury by casting certain class skills. The skill Fury Blade consumes Fury to deal great damage to the target.
