In the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, you have 10 races to choose from. We wanted to know which one you prefer the most. You voted, and we will reveal the ranking.
Each of the 10 races in ESO has its unique appearance. Additionally, all have their pros and cons. They have race-specific traits and abilities. We wanted to hear from you in a survey about which of the ESO races is your favorite.
A total of 1566 MeinMMO readers participated in the survey, with each of you able to cast only one vote. We will reveal how you voted for the individual races on the following pages.
The ranking starts with the least popular race and ends with your favorite.
10. The Orsimer (Orcs)
The Orsimer are in last place with 3.77% of your votes.
Who are the Orsimer? The Orsimer live by a code of honor. Survival of the fittest is the law, and the strongest rule. However, they are indeed much more civilized than they may first appear. Due to their harsh surroundings in the mountains, they are well adapted to life as warriors. They are also famous for their blacksmithing.
What defines the Orsimer? Orcs are well suited as stamina DPS and excellent as craftsmen. With their bonus to sprinting and reduced costs, they are also a good choice for PvP. Orcs specialize in heavy armor usage.
However, the Orcs’ greatest strength is likely their craftsmanship. Crafting in ESO is very versatile, and training a master craftsman can take up to 1.5 years. As an Orc, you receive a bonus from “Craftsman,” allowing you to level crafting faster and research more quickly.
Despite all the advantages, Orcs are rather unpopular. This is partly due to the appearance of these charming fellows. There are even competitions in forums to see who can create a pretty orc girl (via elderscrollsonline.com).
What racial skills do they have?
- Craftsman: Increases experience gain in heavy armor usage, increases your inspiration gain while crafting
- Muscular: Increases your maximum stamina
- Unfaltering Fury: Increases your maximum health. When you use a weapon ability, you heal yourself, which can proc every 4 seconds.
- Swift Warrior: Increases your weapon power, reduces your costs, and increases your speed while sprinting
