In Throne and Liberty, you have no communication problems, as all messages can be automatically translated through AI translation in the chat.
What can the feature do? Throne and Liberty has a great feature that can shine particularly in MMORPGs. We are talking about AI translation in the chat. In games where you do a lot with other players, communication is extremely important. Of course, you can use other services, such as Discord. But there are some players who prefer to connect or make arrangements via in-game messages.
When searching for a group for world bosses or dungeons, you can quickly and easily write a message in your own language in the chat, and every other player is able to translate it directly in the game’s chat without an app or other tools. This removes the barriers between international players and enables a unified gaming experience.

How do I activate the feature? There are two ways to enable this function. You can apply the feature directly in the chat by going to the individual message. In the upper right corner, there is a small translation symbol. If you click on it, this one message will be translated for you. This way, you also see in which original language the message was written.
The second method is different. You can also go to “Settings” in the menu and then switch to the “Chat” settings under “Gameplay”. Then you need to check the box for “Auto Translate”. After that, all messages will be automatically translated for you.
In general, accessibility is highly valued in Throne and Liberty. The game offers incredibly many options that can be customized to provide all players with a good gaming experience.
How does MeinMMO author Nathalie Schnee evaluate this function? The feature is super practical. Although it doesn’t work perfectly yet and sometimes gibberish is translated, I find the automatic translation not optimal yet. However, if you want to translate individual messages, the feature is quite helpful.
It definitely has potential and should also be implemented in other online games. I know some players who are not particularly good at English, and the AI translation comes in handy. But it doesn’t just help with a lack of English skills. In other online games, sometimes half the chat is in Cyrillic, which, as I’ve noticed, annoys many players. This AI feature could provide relief.
