21:04: More from the “Genshin” creators: Honkai Starrail, it’s apparently about a train flying through space. Sounds kind of … illogical? Or artistic!
- Honkai: Star Rail is a new tactical RPG from the creators of Genshin Impact for iOS, Android, and PC.
- It is a sequel to the events of Honkai Impact 3rd, another game from Hoyoverse.

20:59: Keighley asks the hall who played Homeworld. The answer: Apparently no one.
- Homeworld 3 is a strategy game where you take control of fleets and lead massive space battles.
- It will be released in the first half of 2023 on Steam.
Atlas Fallen arouses curiosity – New Trailer
20:58: It looks a bit like Monster Hunter now. Warriors with superpowers fight against monsters in the sand. Oh, and the monsters are getting bigger: The game is called “Atlas Fallen”.
It is set to be released in 2023 and received much applause in the hall:
- Atlas Fallen is a new game from Deck 13 and Focus Entertainment, which will be released in 2023.
- In this action game, you will fight against monsters and gods to liberate humanity from its oppression.
It is apparently going to be a “co-op survival” game and will be released for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X.
20:04: Everywhere is the name of the game – “Time for a New World”. In the Twitch chat, they are talking about the metaverse:
- The team wants to build a new world for players
- It should be more than just one game
- However, they don’t want to reveal too much yet. The developers keep emphasizing how innovative the game is
- Planned release date is 2023. They want to show much more about the game.
What we already knew about Everywhere:
- The game is being developed by former GTA producer Leslie Benzies, who collected 42 million dollars for it in 2020.
- The goal is to create a AAA MMO with open world content and a story told in several chapters.

- The quests in the game are procedurally generated, depending on how one lies while playing.
- Weapons can be combined to create entirely new killing instruments.
- The body parts of Pinocchio can be swapped to gain new abilities.
20:48: A quirky comic game gets the next minutes while we’re just digesting the really quirky Moonbreaker.
20:46: Leya says that Moonbreaker was a crowd favorite in the hall. Especially the feature of painting your miniatures was well received.
“Moonbreaker” is said to be like Hearthstone meets X-Com
20:42: Oh, someone is trying again with a new tablet-like strategy game. These games have not had a good “We will be a success” track record. Maybe “Moonbreaker” will be an exception. Apparently, they want to capture the tabletop experience. It goes into early access on September 29. The game comes from the creators of Subnautica.
The game aims to capture the mood of Firefly and only deploys “strange units”. It’s referred to as “Hearthstone meets X-Com” – that sounds bizarre.
- Moonbreaker explores a distant corner of the solar system called The Reaches, where there are numerous moons.
- On these moons is the rare mineral Cinder, which gives people special abilities. However, it comes at a price. To survive, users of these abilities must consume more and more Cinder.
20:41. Currently, 45,000 are watching on Twitch. But twice as many are watching the gamescom via the “Juicer”, xQc.
20:39: Monkey Island is getting its 2-3 minutes – in Germany, it practically has a home game. We love adventures here.
The game comes out on the international pirate day, September 19. They are selling “Horse-Amour,” which “will look great in the inventory.” In the disclaimer: You will never be able to use the armor – a reference to Bethesda, who started the DLC madness with horse armor back then.
Here’s what we know about Return to Monkey Island:
- The legendary Guybrush Threepwood returns in the latest game of the popular adventure games. Return to Monkey is being created in collaboration between Lucasfilm Games and the series creator Ron Gilbert and will be released this year for PC and Nintendo Switch.
- In the spirit of classic point-and-click adventures, you will solve tricky puzzles in both familiar old areas and on the new archipelago.
- The game also features dynamic dialogue trees and context-dependent interactions that are intended to make your adventure and the insult duels exciting.
20:36: In case anyone is just relaxing right now, here comes the “Goat Simulator 3”, a candidate for the silliest game of all time.
Here’s what we know about Goat Simulator 3:
- The crazy goat game returns in its first sequel, aptly named with the number 3. It will be released on November 17, 2022, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
- In the sandbox adventure, you play as a goat causing chaos on the island of San Angora. You can even do this in Goat Simulator 3 together with your friends.
20:35: A French game where you apparently play an underwater diver. Feels calming amidst all the popcorn and Red Bull so far: whale songs.
Under The Waves is being developed by a French studio and is set to be released in late 2022.
20:33: Keighley promises a new trailer and the release date for Sonic.
Leya writes: It received significantly louder applause in the hall than expected.
Here’s what we know about Sonic Frontiers:
- The blue hedgehog is back in his new open-world platformer Sonic Frontiers, which is set to be released in late 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
- In the game, Sonic explores the Starfall Islands with their many biomes, ranging from grasslands to forests and deserts, to ruins of an ancient civilization.
Release date: November 8, 2022.
20:31: Oh, Leya says. Dying Light received almost no reaction after everyone tiredly clapped for Hogwarts Legacy. There was even whistling for Marauders. Maybe having a live audience for Keighley wasn’t so brilliant after all.
20:30: Destiny 2 gets its short appearance: Space turtles – everyone loves shooting them in the face.

20:29: Marauders – Early Access in October 2022 – that is supposed to be a really good game. But here it is only getting the 20-second treatment. This is always the worst part of these Keighley shows.

20:27: The pace is picking up again tremendously. After Borderlands, an arena game comes directly: Dying Light 2 – Bloody Ties DLC.
New Borderlands – Release on October 22
20:24: Randy Pitchford is there and promises a new “Tales from the Borderlands” – release for October 22, 2022. The trailer hits hard.
20:21: Now comes the audience favorite: Hogwarts Legacy. People are really excited. The trailer shows young wizards, demons, dark vaults, monsters, spells, and somewhat annoyed adults scolding children.
Oh, and finally the “Digital Deluxe Edition” – which is not in the novels.
Here’s what we know about Hogwarts’ Legacy:
- The action RPG takes place in the world of the “Harry Potter” books and is expected to be released on February 23, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
- Players take on the role of a student at the famous wizarding school Hogwarts and can use mysterious ancient magic.
- During character creation, you can customize your appearance and choose the house to which you will belong.
- The game is a prequel, and the story takes place before the events of Harry Potter, but fans of the books and movies will still encounter many familiar characters.

The Lords of the Fallen impresses with a strong trailer
20:17: On to the next game we have been waiting for “a long time”. It looks like dark fantasy. The people in the chat immediately: “Witcher 4 – Godfall 2 – Elden RING REMAKE” … apparently, some are on mushrooms.
Oh, the trailer shifts from fantasy to “Bad Ass”. Very well done. For me, so far, it’s the highlight. With classic rock, these trailers always get me – since Destiny 1.
The game is called “The Lords of the Fallen” for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X:
- Lords of the Fallen 2 is a long-awaited title that was announced back in 2014 and has been postponed often.
20:15: Jup, there was the FSK-18 scene: A typical “Resident Evil – guy gets cut in half by elevator” scene with lots of blood. Keighley laughs slightly psychopathically. Not exactly brand safe!
20:11: It gets a little quieter. Keighley brings Glen Schofield (Dead Space) on stage. They want to show gameplay now and use terms like “mutilation and gore system”, so it will be FSK 18.
Here’s what we know about Callisto Protocol:
- The survival horror game Callisto Protocol is the spiritual successor to the popular Dead Space games and will be released at the end of the year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. The release date is currently set for December 2, 2022.
- The sci-fi setting places you 300 years in the future on Jupiter’s moon Callisto, where you take on the role of prisoner Jacob Lee. He must escape the high-security prison Schwarzstahl, which has been overrun by mutated monsters.
- To survive, Jacob must use one of the prison guards’ special gravitational weapons to throw the monstrous enemies around.
Wireless Controller for PlayStation
