The Good Guy
The “Good Guy” is the infamous killer doll Chucky, known to many from the associated horror movies. Due to his extremely small size, he is a very special killer who can cause a lot of chaos. He can temporarily become undetectable and rush at enemies, although he has a somewhat low movement speed of only 110% (4.4 m/s). As long as he is not hidden, he has an average terror radius of 32 meters.
Special Ability: End of Fun – The Good Guy has the ability to switch to “Hide Mode”. In this mode, he not only completely loses his terror radius, but confusing sounds resonate for survivors across the map, and killer footprints appear in different locations. This mode lasts for up to 14 seconds.
As long as Chucky is in Hide Mode, he can crawl very quickly under pallets or climb through windows to chase survivors especially fast.
Additionally, Chucky can activate the secondary ability “Disc Cutter” during Hide Mode. After a short charging time, Chucky rushes forward with limited navigation ability and can cancel the attack for a storm attack that injures the survivor struck.
After a survivor has been hit or if Hide Mode otherwise ends, a cooldown begins for Hide Mode before it can be activated again.
How to use End of Fun correctly? The use of the ability works quite intuitively. Since the Good Guy is very small, survivors find it hard to spot him, even if they hear the terror radius. Generally, the first attempt is to land a normal hit, then follow up with Hide Mode and bring down the already panicked survivor with a Disc Cutter attack.
During gameplay, a rhythm develops naturally, activating the stealth mode and using the few seconds of confusion to catch up to the victims.
On the other hand, the disc cutter attack requires a bit more practice. It is very reliable on straight pathways. However, since you can navigate very little during the charge and are briefly slowed down afterwards, practice is needed to avoid ending up in a bad position after the attack. The range is often so large that you can even get in front of the flying survivors, even if the initial attack fails – this allows you to “body block” them and cut off their escape route while recovering from the ability’s use.
Who is the Good Guy suitable for? The Good Guy is suitable not only for fans of the movies but also for anyone who wants to experience killers from a different perspective. The very small stature provides a completely new gaming experience, and the nearly constant confusion caused by the ability makes Chucky a fun, fast-paced experience – although it requires quite a bit of practice to use the abilities correctly.
