The Singularity / The Singularity
The Singularity, model type Hux-A7-13, is an AI from the 24th century originally created to assist teams in establishing colonies on other planets. However, something went wrong. Now the AI uses its superior technology to hunt humans and usher in the age of machines.
The Singularity’s values correspond to the standard of Killers. It has an average size, a terror radius of 32 meters, and a movement speed of 115% (4.6 m/s).
Special Ability: Quantum Instantiation – The ability of the Singularity is, like with most newer Killers, quite complex. The Singularity can shoot biocapsules that stick to vertical surfaces. The Singularity can take control of fired capsules and thus see through them.
By seeing through, Survivors can be marked and shot. If successful, the Survivors are afflicted with “Temporal Pull.” Superspreaders cause the pull to expand when they come too close to other Survivors.
The Singularity can teleport to Survivors afflicted by Temporal Pull. To do this, one must re-mark Survivors affected by the pull.
After a successful teleport, the Singularity enters an overclocking mode. It can destroy pallets and walls faster, jump over obstacles more quickly, and is not stunned by pallets. A hit from a pallet ends the overclocking mode, destroys the pallet, and briefly slows down the Singularity.
To combat this, survivors can find and open special EMP boxes. This removes the pull effect or alternatively destroys a bio capsule. EMPs can only be used once, but the EMP boxes recharge after a while. Survivors can speed up this recharge process by interacting with the EMP box prematurely.
How to use quantum instantiation correctly? The key point of the Singularity is the timely and correct distribution of bio capsules. Keep in mind that you can also remove bio capsules if they are in a bad position or have been deactivated by an EMP.
Basically, you should try to quickly apply the pull effect to survivors. Only then can you utilize your teleportation and take advantage of the powerful overclocking mode. Without using this ability, the Singularity is just an “M1 killer” – always keep that in mind.
It can happen quickly that in the heat of a match, you “forget” about the bio capsules and hardly make use of the ability. Keep this in mind and ensure that you always have a good, comprehensive distribution of the capsules and affect as many enemies as possible with the pull effect, so you can quickly initiate a teleport.
Who is the Singularity suitable for? Anyone who loves horror scenarios with crazed machines will enjoy the Singularity. However, it requires a relatively high amount of “micromanagement” to continuously renew or replace the bio capsules. This can disrupt the flow of the game and often lead to poor decisions.
