The Legion / The Legion
The Legion is a killer quartet consisting of four teenagers, even though only one can be played at a time. It is primarily an optical choice of which of the four killers to play. Legion has an inglorious past and was considered a boring, overpowered killer. Legion has since been nerfed and now exists as a standard killer, positioned more at the lower end of the strength scale.
Special Ability: Frenzy – The characters of Legion can activate Frenzy at the push of a button and then fall into a sprint. In this sprint, they are somewhat faster and can leap over windows and pallets, just like survivors do.
Successful melee attacks on survivors trigger the “Deep Wounds” effect on the victim. This is a timer that counts down slowly as long as the survivor is not running. If the timer reaches 0, the survivor goes down. However, survivors can self-medicate and close the wounds, leaving them only “injured” afterwards.
If Legion hits a survivor with Frenzy, all other survivors within his terror radius are briefly revealed and the ability duration is extended. It is thus possible to inflict deep wounds on multiple survivors at the same time.
Frenzy ends when the ability bar is depleted, Legion is stunned, or a melee attack misses. Legion is then briefly stunned before he can move again.
Survivors already affected by “Deep Wounds” are not negatively impacted if they are hit again by an attack in Frenzy. They do receive the small speed boost that comes after a hit.
Frenzy has a long cooldown, so reactivation takes longer.
How to Use Frenzy Correctly? The correct use of Frenzy is challenging, as the ability only helps the killer to a limited extent in taking down his victim. While he can quickly pass through pallets and windows, an already injured survivor does not fear the ability. The stun at the end of the ability is too long, allowing survivors to escape.
Frenzy can, however, help to:
- Keep the survivors occupied, as they have to self-medicate.
- Locate multiple survivors to slow many down and then specifically hunt one.
- Bridge distances quickly and cover more ground in a short period.
Basically, Legion relies on his normal attacks to take down survivors.
Who is Legion Suitable For? Legion is probably the “most human” killer in Dead by Daylight. Those who enjoy playing a psycho with a knife and putting pressure on all survivors at the same time may find the characters of Legion appealing.
