The Clown / Clown
The Clown mixes disgusting potions and gases that he throws at his enemies. When enemies are hit, they not only scream in panic, but they also become easy prey for this killer, as they have to deal with restrictions. A second brew can enhance the Clown – but also the survivors. In basic stats, the Clown, however, is standard – he is quite large, moves at normal killer speed, and has an average terror radius.
Special Ability (1): The Afterpiece Tonic – These potions can be thrown to create a large gas cloud in an area that lasts for several seconds. Survivors within the gas cloud face multiple problems:
- They scream loudly.
- They suffer from a coughing fit.
- Their vision becomes blurred and impaired.
- They move slower.
The throwing range of the Afterpiece Tonic depends on how long the Clown charges his throw. The bottle does not fly in a straight line but is thrown in a small arc upwards, allowing for good throws over obstacles.
Although the Clown can only carry a limited amount of tonic, he can refill it at any time. He just needs to use the refill ability and take a few seconds to work, which greatly slows him down for the duration.
Special Ability (2): The Afterpiece Antidote – A second bottle that can be thrown. Upon impact, it releases a gray smoke that turns yellow after a few seconds.
All players (killers and survivors) who come into contact with the yellow smoke move 10% faster for 5 seconds. Additionally, survivors are healed from the dizziness of the Afterpiece Tonic when they come into contact with the antidote cloud.
If a poison cloud overlaps with an antidote, they neutralize each other.
How to use the Afterplay Tonic correctly? As with most projectile weapons, the Afterplay Tonic requires a bit of practice. You should keep the following points in mind when using it:
Hit Survivors retain the negative effect for a few seconds after leaving the gas cloud of the tonic, giving the Killer time to catch up.
The biggest advantage of the Afterplay Tonic is the slowed movement of Survivors. This also prevents them from vaulting through windows at full speed. So always cover windows with the gas to steal time from Survivors and be able to lock on.
After you bring down a Survivor, always reload your Afterplay Tonic before picking up the Survivor. This way, you are ready for action immediately after the hook, and if the hooking is interrupted (e.g., by blocking Survivors or a flashlight), your weapon is still ready to go.
The Afterplay Antidote requires even more tactical understanding, as it can also be used against you by Survivors. Use it in such a way that only you receive the speed buff while Survivors have no chance of getting it.
Who is the Clown suitable for? Those who enjoy driving Survivors before them and slowing them down with toxic gases until they fall will like the Clown. In addition, the Clown is really disgusting when he uses his Mori animation.
