Destiny 2 brings a brand new Spring event this year. Bungie has now revealed the first details about the new festivities. Here is what to expect during the Revelry.
What is the Revelry? This is a new event with which Destiny 2 wants to welcome spring. The Tower will be dressed in festive spring colors.
As part of these new festivities, you can participate in a new activity and snag new event-specific armor pieces as well as various cosmetics in a cool festive look.
The Revelry – What you should know about the Spring Festival
When exactly does the new event run? The Revelry starts with the Weekly Reset on April 16 at 7:00 PM and runs until May 7.
Your main point of contact during the event: As part of the Spring festivities, Eva Levante returns to the Tower. She will be your main contact during the Revelry.
Who can participate in the festival? All owners of Destiny 2 can take part in the Revelry. Whether or not you purchased additional content does not matter.
What new features can Guardians expect?
A new activity – The Verdant: The festival brings a new activity called Verdant, which is a modified and beautified version of the Always Forest – similar to the Haunted Forest during the Festival of the Lost, but with more twists and turns.
The goal is to make your way through as many rooms as possible. The more rooms you master, the more time you will have to face the 5 bosses and collect the loot.
You can tackle the Verdant in a fixed team, find additional partners through matchmaking, or even go solo.
New buffs: As part of the Spring festival, there will be a so-called Revelrous Elixir that you will first receive from Eva Levante. You can fill it with Revelrous Essence, which you will receive from boss kills in the Verdant or by completing different activities.
There are a total of three different elixirs, each representing three different buffs. They reduce the cooldowns
- of grenades
- of melee
- or class abilities
You must choose one of these buffs. The event armor (“Prelude to Revelry” sets) or the new thematically inspired armor from the Eververse (“Spring Bloom” sets) enhance the buff effect, the more pieces you equip.
The buffs are active in all activities of the game (exception: private matches) – even in PvP. Thus, you are more dangerous as a Reveler than a regular Guardian. However, how strong the buffs will be is not known at this time.
Additionally, during the Revelry event, you can create spheres all around Destiny 2 through precision kills, allowing you to charge your super and abilities faster. They are expected to appear most frequently in the Verdant.
New armor, bounties, rewards: During the Revelry, each of the three Guardian classes will be able to earn the event-specific armor set “Prelude to Revelry”. To do this, you must defeat bosses in the Verdant activity. The more bosses you eliminate in one run, the higher your chances of a drop.
Additionally, Eva Levante offers 5 weekly bounties from which you can receive parts of the new armor as powerful rewards.
Revelrous Essence, which you earn in various activities, can be exchanged with Eva for packages with specific rewards. These include enhancement cores, regular weapons and gear, as well as ornaments for the “Prelude to Revelry” helmet.
By the way: Each helmet ornament gets bigger as you equip more pieces of the new armor sets.
A new exotic weapon: By completing triumphs, you can earn the second new weapon exotic of Season 6 from Eva in exchange for Revelrous Essence – the kinetic fusion rifle Arbalest.
New event engrams and rewards in the Eververse: As is usual for special events, there will be double glimmer engram drops for all guardians who have reached the respective maximum character level.
With each level-up, there will be a glimmer engram as well as the new rejoicing engram. For the event-specific rejoicing engrams, the knockout system is active. You will not receive any duplicates from them until you have collected all the new items from the event loot pool.

Additionally, there will be new exclusive items available for direct purchase in the Eververse as part of the Spring festivities.
