The Hunter’s Armor Exotics Ranked
The Hunter also received four new armor exotics. How do they rank?
Rank 4 – Oathkeeper
What can this exotic do? With these gloves, bow charges can be held indefinitely. This means you can keep the bow fully drawn indefinitely. The arrow will not release automatically after a certain time. In doing so, “Perfect Draw” is also maintained after a longer hold time.
What is this exotic good for? This exotic is aimed solely at bow enthusiasts and is therefore very situational. With the new exotic bow Le Monarque, these gloves harmonize well, but even with a bow as a weapon, there are much more useful alternatives that can be equipped in PvP and PvE.
Rank 3 – Sixth Coyote
What can this exotic do? The wearer of this exotic chest armor receives a second dodge charge.
What is this exotic good for? The exotic itself may not sound that exciting, but it heavily depends on your playstyle what you ultimately make of it.
If you often use the Hunter’s dodge, you can ensure that your weapons, melee, or smoke grenades are almost continuously charged with this chest armor and appropriate mods.
However, hunters already have numerous strong exotics, and if you are not particularly aiming to orient your playstyle completely around dodging, you will wear this chest armor rather infrequently.
Rank 2 – Gwisin Vest
What can this exotic do? Each Spectral Blades kill restores more Super energy before you cloak.
What is this exotic good for? If you play a Spectral Blades Hunter, you should also use this exotic. It is specifically tailored to this focus and is the best option you can equip as a Spectral Blade in both the Crucible and PvE – provided you use the vest correctly.
Rank 1 – Galanor’s Fragments
What can this exotic do? Hits and kills with the Blade Barrage super grant the wearer of the gloves Super energy back after the super ends.
What is this exotic good for? For anyone playing the Hunter with “Way of a Thousand Cuts”, there is essentially no alternative to Galanor’s Fragments – neither in PvE nor in the Crucible.
The Blade Barrage is currently one of the best supers for the Hunter and with this exotic, you are able to use the super more frequently. You don’t even need excessively many kills. In PvE, a larger group of enemies is enough to fill the super. In PvP, just two kills can return a lot of Super energy.
