Forsaken is by far the best expansion Bungie has ever created. There were countless new Exos, two new destinations, a story that shook to its core, and one of the best raids.
For many, the following seasons were rather flat, but when considering the new weapons and modes that Bungie even released in these normally “dry” phases, it is clear that the developers really surpassed themselves.
The highlight of the expansion is above all the story, which fans will not forget to this day. The tale of Forsaken unflinchingly shows the high price a Guardian has to pay if they want to protect those they love.
Bungie took a risk by killing one of the most beloved characters, but it sent a strong message and is appreciated by many fans. An unpredictable fate and a twist that had never been seen in Destiny 1 & 2 before. Even though it was 6 years ago, I get goosebumps when I think about it and that shows what kind of impact this DLC had.
