Furthermore, the Awakened, the inhabitants of the Reef, the Fallen, and Cayde-6 will play a significant role – but probably differently than most fans might have expected.

New Mode “Gambit” is a mix of PvE and PvP – hence PvEvP
New Arena: In the new mode “Gambit,” the developers opted for a blend of PvE and PvP. Two teams of four players each face off in an arena. In their own areas, they must fight enemies and summon the final boss using particles left behind. The first one to defeat the Prime Evil can win one of three match rounds.
But PvP fans will also get their money’s worth. In “Gambit,” you can ambush the opposing team in their own territory, creating additional chaos and confusion.
In addition to this PvEvP mode, classic PvP players will also have something to enjoy in “Forsaken”: The expansion brings the new mode “Breakthrough” and four new Crucible maps into play.

New Raid in the “Dreaming City”
More bosses, more puzzles: The new raid in “Forsaken” will take place in the Dreaming City and bring the Guardians into the home of the Awakened. The developers compared the raid to a mix of the Dreadnaught and the Vault of Glass from Destiny 1, with a sprinkle of Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” films.

The raid will have puzzles and secrets, and players will be able to influence the world. In the stream, it was stated that the Dreaming City at launch will be different from how it will be three weeks after release.
In addition to the Dreaming City, the Tangled Shore will also be featured as a location in the Forsaken add-on. This is a really nasty spot in the Reef known from Destiny 1, where players will spend a large part of their time.
