The story of the Ring: In the Second Age, the One Ring was created by Sauron to control the Rings of Power. It existed for almost 5,000 years before it was ultimately destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom.
However, for over 50% of this time, the Ring was considered lost and nearly forgotten. For it lay at the bottom of the Anduin River.
How was the ranking established? The ability of the ring bearers to resist the power of the One Ring partly depends on how long they possessed the Ring.
But there are also other factors. Some races, for example, have proven to be more resistant than others. And individual personality also plays a crucial role.

Place 9: Déagol
After the One Ring had been lost in the Anduin River for over 2,000 years, it was found by a simple hobbit named Déagol. During a leisurely fishing trip, he discovered the sparkling treasure, the true power of which he could not recognize.
But the find did not bring luck to Déagol. His companion and friend Sméagol wanted the Ring as well and promptly killed Déagol.
Since Déagol only had the Ring for a short time, it is hard to say how well he could have resisted its influence in the long term. However, it is known that the hobbit did not have particularly good character and would likely have fallen to the evil temptations quickly.
In just a few minutes, the Ring led Déagol to place his own greed above a long-standing friendship. Thus, he lands in 9th place in this ranking.
