In Pokémon GO the evolution event has started. It brings a lot of event spawns and many field researches that primarily provide evolution items.
What kind of event is this? This event started last night, on December 5th at 10 PM. It lasts exactly one week and ends on December 12th.
The event revolves around Pokémon that can evolve significantly and their evolution items. Accordingly, there are new raid bosses, spawns, and quests.

These are the quests: In total, you can find 13 field researches that have already been leaked beforehand. So there are:
- Catch 10 Seel
- Reward: One Dragon Scale
- Catch 5 Onix
- Reward: One Metal Coat
- Catch 5 Porygon
- Reward: One Up-Grade
- Catch 10 Quapsel or Flegmon
- Reward: One King’s Rock
- Catch 10 Sonnkern
- Reward: One Sun Stone
- Evolve one Barschwa
- Reward: 3 Candies
- Evolve 5 Pokémon
- Reward: 1000 Stardust
- Evolve 10 Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Burmy (Cloak random)
- Evolve one Onix
- Reward: Encounter with a Scyther
- Use an item to evolve a Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Pearl
- Win 5 raids
- Reward: Magnet, Moss, or Glacier Module
- Hatch 7 eggs
- Reward: One Sinnoh Stone
- Win 3 times against a Team GO Rocket boss
- Reward: One Unova Stone
Which quests are worth it? The field research around the Unova Stone can be worth it if you have it multiple times at once. The Unova Stone is rare and here you get a good chance for it.
The quest that offers a lure module as a reward is also strong. The modules usually cost 200 coins in the shop. So if you want to do 5 raids anyway, for example during a raid hour, you can grab the expensive modules here.
Which Pokémon spawn more frequently? The list of event spawns is long. There are many Pokémon that can be shiny. Some Pokémon are even evolutions already and yield more Stardust and candies. The following spawns are available:

Which spawns are worth it? Generally, the range of spawns is very diverse. Many shinies are around, and you have good chances of getting a coveted specimen. The highlight here is probably shiny Burmy, which is completely new.
Additionally, spawns like Dragonair or Geodude, which are not seen every day, are available. Here, you should also take action, as they are not bad in battles.
Especially interesting is Burmy with the Sand Cloak. These normally do not spawn in many places in Germany. Currently, they can be found everywhere. So one should take advantage of the chance for evolution.
