Rank 5 – Paladin
How many votes were there? 8.99 % of our readers chose the Paladin as the first class they would like to experience Dragonflight with. This corresponds to 304 votes.
What defines the Paladin? Paladins are righteous warriors of the Light, whose calling is to protect the weak and deliver just punishment to the wicked. Paladins are usually in melee combat and wear plate armor to withstand enemy attacks.
In addition, they use blessings and auras to enhance allies, regardless of the role they take. But Paladins are incredibly flexible: they can tank, heal, and even deal damage, although this has been joked about since the beginning of WoW.
Paladins can be played by the following races:
- As Alliance – Dark Iron Dwarves, Lightforged Draenei, Draenei, Humans, Dwarves
- As Horde – Zandalari Trolls, Blood Elves, Tauren
Rank 4 – Hunter
How many votes were there? The Hunter received 323 votes, accounting for 9.55 % of your votes. However, he misses the podium quite clearly.
What defines the Hunter? Hunters are nature-connected fighters who mainly rely on their ranged weapons and their animal companion. They can give their companion various commands and use them either as a tank or for additional damage.
Hunters have access to bows, crossbows, and firearms, but can also switch to melee combat and deal damage there. To escape dangerous situations, they have the special ability “Feign Death”, which works quite well at least against PvE mobs.
Hunters can be played by absolutely any race in WoW.
Rank 3 – Druid
How many votes were there? The Druid occupies the first place on the podium with 352 votes. This corresponds to 10.41 % of all votes.
What defines the Druid? Druids use the power of nature to preserve life or unleash it for attacks. They are the most versatile class in WoW, also due to their shapeshifting abilities.
As a Bear, you can intercept incoming attacks and bind the opponents to you in melee combat; as a Cat or Owl, you can force enemies to their knees with attacks or heal allies as a Tree. Additionally, there are various travel forms that allow you to run or swim faster.
Druids wear leather armor and have access to different resources depending on their form, such as mana, rage, or energy.
Druids can be played by the following races:
- As Alliance – Kul Tirans, Night Elves, and Worgen
- As Horde – Highmountain Tauren, Tauren, Trolls, and Zandalari Trolls,
Rank 2 – Warrior
How many votes were there? With 368 votes, accounting for 10.89 % in voting, the Warrior narrowly misses out on first place. Although they are the quintessential standard class, they are very popular among our readers.
What defines the Warrior? Warriors are typical melee fighters who go into battle with plate armor, swords, or axes and constantly get hit.
They excel in the role of a tank but also deal significant damage. Accordingly, they can choose between different stances to play either more offensively or defensively.
Warriors can be played by absolutely any race in WoW. They are also among the classes that we at MeinMMO recommend for the start.
Rank 1 – Caller
How many votes were there? With 374 votes and thus 11.06 % of all votes, the Caller narrowly wins the race. This is, however, not surprising since it is a completely new class.
What defines the Caller? The Callers of the Dracthyr are not only a new class but also a new race. The Dracthyr originate from the Dragon Isles. They combine all the powers of the five dragonflights within themselves and use these to cast spells, execute powerful breath attacks, or manipulate time to heal.
As a special ability, they have “Empower.” For this, you have to hold a skill longer to charge it.
Like Demon Hunters, Dracthyr also have only 2 specializations, one for ranged and one for healing. They also wear chain armor.
Callers can only be played by the new race, the Dracthyr. This race is available for both factions.
