You voted on the most popular assault rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone. There are clear winners and losers who, in your opinion, are the best or worst weapons. See the results here.
A while ago, we at MeinMMO asked you which is your favorite assault rifle in Warzone. At the time of evaluation (July 20 at 8:00 PM), 1,243 readers cast their votes. Each participant had only one vote.
This resulted in a pretty clear picture of the most and least popular weapons, with a strong top of clear winners, some weak losers, and a relatively broad midfield in between.
In Warzone, there are a total of 11 assault rifles. We present them all here, sorted by their popularity and supplemented by some additional information about each weapon.
Rank 11: FR 5.56 (10 votes)
What kind of weapon is this? The French FR 5.56 “FAMAS” is a so-called bullpup rifle (also: rear-loader) and the standard weapon of many French military branches. In Modern Warfare, it stands out for its iconic burst mode.
Why does it rank 11? Its burst mode is both what makes it unpopular and relatively weak. According to its stats, which an expert examined at the beginning of Warzone, the FR 5.56 requires the most time to kill (TTK) of all assault rifles.
Since it can only fire in bursts, this prevents you from efficiently defeating opponents, especially if they have a lot of armor. You are at a disadvantage compared to all other assault rifles and most submachine guns.
Rank 10: Oden (19 votes)
What kind of weapon is this? The Oden is modeled after a Russian rifle and, like the FR 5.56, is also a bullpup rifle. Compared to most other assault rifles, it is slower but has a fully automatic mode, unlike the FR 5.56.
Why does it rank 10? Although the Oden has a relatively low TTK, its low rate of fire makes it difficult to handle, especially for new players and when you find yourself in the heat of battle.
If you don’t have the ability to aim properly, a misplaced shot punishes you much more severely than with faster assault rifles. So you need to be able to control it well if you want to use it effectively.
However, there are ways to turn it into a real monster. The YouTuber jackfrags, for example, has turned the Oden into a real monster with his Max-DPS build.
Rank 9: FN SCAR (24 votes)
What kind of weapon is this? The FN SCAR may be familiar to some of you from other games as a semi-automatic sniper rifle. The Belgian weapon is frequently used by US special forces and is characterized by a slightly higher rate of fire than the Oden at lower damage.
Why does it rank 9? Similar to the Oden, the FN SCAR has the problem that it is relatively slow. Its recoil is moderate, making aiming a bit easier. Its slightly higher rate of fire allows it to forgive mistakes a little better.
However, the advantage of the SCAR lies in its versatility. With the right attachments, it can be converted into a strong DMR or, as in the build of shooter god shroud, into a fast, powerful weapon for close to medium range combat.
Rank 8: AK-47 (41 votes)
What kind of weapon is this? The AK-47 is probably the most famous weapon in the world and is considered an indestructible assault rifle. Its iconic shape and partly wooden body make it unmistakable. In Modern Warfare, it is counted among the slower assault rifles with high penetration.
Why does it rank 8? Just like the SCAR and the Oden, the AK-47, as a slow weapon, is rather unsuitable for the often heated battles in Warzone. Additionally, it has an extremely strong recoil that makes it useless for long-distance fights.
The reason it still performs better is partly because it can be modified into a deadly assault rifle for medium distances despite the recoil. It also has some secret variants that aficionados and connoisseurs will surely appreciate.
Bonus points are earned due to its cult factor. You can find more information about this iconic weapon in our review of the AK-47 with its best attachments and setups.
