Sandbox Interactive has presented the major update Lancelot for the MMORPG Albion Online in more detail, which will be released on March 12.
Lancelot brings a number of innovations and improvements to Albion Online. This primarily includes the wandering monsters, which are meant to make exploration tours in the world more exciting. In addition, you can expect further challenges through new Hellgates and additional expeditions.

Many Innovations
Lancelot delights you with these features:
- Fishing – At rivers, lakes, and seas, you can fish for ordinary fish, more challenging “boss fish,” and even find rare sunken treasures. Each biome offers different fish species that you can sell or use for preparing food. Legendary catches can be hung as trophies in your house.
- Guild Improvements – Guild managers receive new, extensive tools to assign roles to individual guild members. Additionally, it is possible to track resources, define permissions, and gain access to items. New vaults in guild territories allow members quick access to shared guild economy.
- Server Performance Improvements – Optimizations ensure better performance, especially in large battles.
- GvG Season Improvements – In the second GvG season, you will receive new incentives to participate in battles. This includes better rewards and additional tactical opportunities, such as placing Rogue Mages in enemy areas to steal energy for your own guild.
- New Artifact Armors – Artifact armors of level 3 are introduced, including the Judge’s Helm and the Specter Hood. With these items, battles in the game become even more exciting.

- Wandering Mobs – Monsters are not only limited to the camps but spawn throughout the world. If you face these wandering mobs, you will receive rewards. The monsters include bosses that can yield you large amounts of fame and silver as loot.
- Luxury Goods – Monsters now also leave behind relics from the antiquity of Albion. These luxury goods can only be sold at the marketplace in a specific city, for which you have to transport them there first. Since the relics are highly sought after, you may be ambushed on the way.
- New Hellgates – New types of Hellgates for smaller PvP battles, which also offer spontaneous full-loot PvP.
- New Expeditions and More – With “In the Claws of the Raven,” a new Tier 6 group expedition awaits you. Your task is to rescue a captured agent from the clutches of Morgana’s followers. Additionally, the Lancelot update offers you a new siege engine for warfare in the open world, balancing changes, bug fixes, and further adjustments.
Thus, the Lancelot update brings a whole range of interesting changes that should make the game more exciting. The update will be deployed on March 12.
