The sandbox MMO Albion Online is getting a major PvP update called “Kay” on St. Nicholas Day. With this, you can beat each other even more effectively and have more fun fighting against other players.

As a sandbox game, Albion Online places great value on cohesive PvP. After all, fighting against other players is an important part of the player-controlled fantasy world. To make the mutual brawling even more enjoyable, a major update is coming soon that will bring numerous changes to PvP.
Major Update Kay Transforming PvP
The new update called “Kay” (a character from the Arthurian legend) will launch on December 6, St. Nicholas Day, on the servers of Albion Online. This is already the second major content update since the launch of the sandbox MMO in the summer.
With the Kay update, you will receive the following new features:
- Season mode for “Guild vs. Guild” battles: Starting December 9, the first season for GvG battles will begin and last for over three months. Conduct raids in enemy territories and defend your own area. At the end of the season, everything will be evaluated, and the winning guild will be allowed to raise its banner over the city of Caerleon. Additionally, there will be resources during the season, with which you can obtain special battle mounts.
- Changed territorial raids: You can directly attack the mages of the opposing guild and hinder them from collecting energy.
- New battle mounts: Earn points in the GvG season and purchase the new battle mounts with them. Look forward to the commander mammoth, the fire basilisk, and the poison basilisk.
- Improved performance: Changes such as less resource-intensive models, better spell effects, and more efficient textures have significantly improved the performance of the client.
- Political world map: You can now see at a glance who controls which areas and who is allied with whom.
- Hardcore Expeditions: PvE fans can engage in these harder versions of regular expeditions against particularly tough enemies.
- Expanded tutorial for newcomers: To prevent newcomers from getting frustrated and leaving, more of the game is now explained in the tutorial.
- A new expedition: The new T6 group expedition “A Handful of Silver” lets you defend farmers against a gang of heretics.
Only the foundation of Albion Online is said to be in place right now and it is supposed to grow a lot more.
