Even before the release in summer 2017, the developers of the MMORPG Albion Online promised that you could also play on mobile devices (iOS, Android). Now it is finally here – but for now only in Germany.
What does the mobile version of Albion Online offer? It is the complete gaming experience. Everything that Albion Online has to offer in the PC version can also be found in the mobile version for devices with Android or iOS.
You are even on the same servers and can interact with players who play on PC. It is possible to switch between the platforms at any time. If you are on the go, you play on your phone, and when you return home, you switch to the PC (or Mac). Everything you earn on your smartphone while on the go is also available in the PC/Mac version.

Albion Online can now be played on mobile devices
So you play with: To play the MMORPG Albion Online on Android or iOS, you just need to download the client from the respective store for your phone (via Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Then you log in with your regular login data and get started.
Albion Online Mobile is currently only available to players from Germany after a longer beta. It is a so-called soft launch, where there are no wipes or resets. More countries will follow in summer.
What are the requirements for the MMORPG? You need a phone with at least 3 GB of RAM. If your smartphone is not supported, you will receive a corresponding message. However, the developers do not provide a list of supported devices.
How does the mobile version differ from the regular one? There are some adjustments to ensure that Albion Online plays well on the touch screen of a phone.
- A mobile-specific control with adjusted HUD
- You can choose between two control options
- The UI has been optimized and offers customizable settings
There is also another difference that may seem a bit strange: The prices for the item shop are higher in the mobile version. According to the developers, this is due to currency conversions and platform fees.
Therefore, you should always make your purchases in the in-game shop in the desktop version or directly through the webshop. Then you enjoy the lowest prices and still receive the items in the mobile version.
