Who wouldn’t love to own their own island? The upcoming sandbox MMORPG Albion Online aims to make this possible.
So far, it has been possible to buy a private island during the alpha phases of Albion Online. This served as a retreat. However, testers wanted more, which is why the developers have now come up with a new system to make owning a private island in the MMORPG even more enjoyable. As before, you will buy an island in one of the major cities of the game world. However, now you will find rubble and rocks that you can pay to clear out. This means, specifically, that you can expand your island over time!
Get your own island!
On the newly freed area, you can establish fields or plots. Buildings can then be constructed and expanded. Overall, you should be able to expand your island in five stages. This allows you to individually decorate your island. Guild islands are also supposed to get this feature, so you can collectively expand your own island in a guild. However, for example, growing resources in the fields can become hard work the further you expand your island.
With the closed beta of the MMORPG Albion Online, which is launching this November, you will be able to hire NPCs as workers to assist you actively. Sandbox Interactive will soon reveal more details about this new system of private islands in the MMORPG Albion Online. So it will be very interesting to see what options your private island will offer you in the future.
The MMORPG Albion Online focuses on a sandbox where completing missions is only a minor aspect. You can even create and manage your own city and an entire kingdom, which you will also need to defend against your enemies.
