Sandbox Interactive, the German development studio behind the MMORPG Albion Online, will release the major Gallahad update today, Monday, March 13.
With Gallahad, many changes are coming to the MMORPG, which should now be in a state close to release. The world of Albion Online is now receiving its final form, following a logical structure.
You start in the outer areas, which are still relatively safe, and then work your way to the middle of the continent to the contested capital. From there, you can access the Outlands. Anarchy reigns there.
New Cities, Expeditions, and More
Additionally, you will find a large city in each of the biomes like forest, swamp, desert, ice. This city is a hub for trade and here you meet NPCs who will hire you for expeditions.
These expeditions are PvE adventures of varying difficulty that players can use as an introduction to the adventures. Complete some of the expeditions that lead you into instances to earn your first marks. This way, you will progress further in the game world until you are powerful enough to try your luck in the Outlands, where open PvP exists.
The Countdown to Release Begins…
The Gallahad update introduces a new user interface that is streamlined and clearer. The PvE system has been revamped and should now be more intuitive. Throughout the world, you will encounter world bosses that you can tackle together with other players. 25 new spells and new equipment round off the major update, which should be released today.
Afterward, the beta will continue until July, and you can still provide feedback that the developers will use to further improve Albion Online.
The official release of the MMORPG is scheduled for July 17.
