We are heading towards the final phase in FIFA 19: With FIFA 20 on the horizon, many players are already feeling exhausted. Here are 5 tips to bring fresh excitement back into the game.
Summer break in FUT: The “Team of the Season” is currently running, marking the biggest event of the ongoing Ultimate Team season. Nevertheless, many players are only picking up the controller sporadically. The great teams are built, and there isn’t much profit to be made on the transfer market with regular cards. Last year there was still the World Cup mode in the summer – but this year it will be missing.

The consequence: Some lack motivation to grind through Division Rivals and Weekend League every week – the wait for FIFA 20 has begun.
However, there are still a few months until the release – and of course, one does not want to do without FIFA. It’s time to mix up the game a bit: Here are 5 tips on how you can have more fun with FIFA 19 again.
1. Change up your Ultimate Team
This is why you should switch things up: Many players commit to one league or nation at the start of the season that their team should align with throughout the season. It makes sense, as chemistry needs to be good to secure as many wins as possible in Rivals and Weekend League.
For example, Serie A provided plenty of affordable players with high values this year. But eventually, you either had the best cards together or could no longer afford the next tier of players like Cristiano Ronaldo. Consequently, the team stagnated or could only be improved pointwise. This means: You are always playing with the same players.

You can change that now: Thanks to the season’s end phase in conjunction with the TOTS event, many cards have become cheaper on the transfer market. If you want to try something new and perhaps create a team from your favorite players, now is the opportunity.
In the Bundesliga, top players like Marco Reus, David Alaba, or Arjen Robben have become absolutely affordable. A completely new team also brings new fun – as long as you can bring yourself to part with your current squad.

2. Complete the Weekly Objectives – seriously
This is why you should tackle the weekly objectives: Sure, the weekly tasks can be quite a grind – assuming you’re only focused on the rewards. But if you approach weekly objectives like “Win 6 online matches only with silver players” with the right mindset, they can be a great change of pace from Rivals and Weekend League.

This is the appeal: In online single matches, there are primarily players who throw themselves into the weekly objectives and play with suitable squads. You’re playing with an unusual team against an opponent you would never meet in Rivals.
The ratings of the players used largely prevent one from relying on the typical FUT tactics. The tornado cross, for example, is practically eliminated – leading to exciting matches.

Doing the weekly objectives with a friend is even more enjoyable. Especially if you are fans of a club primarily made up of silver players. You can finally put them to good use.
3. Change your playstyle – unleash the trick box
This is how one usually plays: Every player has a typical playing style: some focus on ball possession, while others concentrate on counter-attacks. You sprint down the wings with fast players or combine through the middle with pass machines. For most players, this happens almost subconsciously – so try using a different tactic effectively.
You can change that: If you usually focus on keeping the defense cohesive, switch to an offensive orientation. Don’t always choose the easy pass, but try a skill move or two!

Dribbling through the opposing lines with tricks can be a lot of fun. Since many top players and 5-star skillers are now significantly cheaper, acquiring players for various tactics has become much easier.
However, be prepared not to win as many games at the start. After all, it takes time to effectively implement a new playstyle.
4. Start in Pro Clubs – or play with friends without rules
This is Pro Clubs: If you’ve had enough of Ultimate Team but don’t want to miss the online factor, you should give Pro Clubs a chance. Here you can play matches with up to eleven players against eleven – a completely different gaming experience. Professional Marcel Deutscher also plays this mode to experience something different from just the competitive side of FIFA.

This is especially fun when joined by a few friends, but it also works if you join an already existing club. Random matches can also be enjoyable – as long as you get a few players who are also interested in playing properly.
5. Catch up on the offline modes – if you haven’t completed them yet
This is what you can do offline: Many players have had enough of playing the same online match against similarly skilled opponents. This might be the perfect time to focus on the offline modes in FIFA 19.

Start a new career or play in The Journey the last chapter of Alex Hunter’s story. These modes bring a completely different component to the game if you’ve previously neglected them in favor of FUT.

The Champions League mode is also part of the game that many players have neglected so far. Although it doesn’t keep you busy long-term, it is enjoyable due to the special European atmosphere. Especially since the real Champions League is currently more exciting than ever.
