EGON: Inferna Bellum is a new action MMORPG developed by the former head of Aion and Lineage 2. It is expected to contain dark fantasy elements and release simultaneously for PC and mobile. The worldwide release is planned for the second half of 2022.
What kind of MMORPG is this? EGON: Inferna Bellum was originally announced as Project T and has been in development for several years. It is being developed by a Korean company but is set to release globally.
- It is played in isometric perspective like Lost Ark
- There are 6 different classes to choose from – Knight, Cleric, Assassin, Warrior, Archer, and Wizard
- There are dungeons and boss raids that you can challenge
- There will be a pet system that is supposed to make you stronger on the battlefield
- In PvP, there are sieges and a Battle Royale with 1,000 players, played until only one person is left alive

Who is behind the game? EGON: Inferna Bellum is being developed by the Korean studio Round Planet. This is led by Kim Yeong-Seong, who was the director at NCSoft responsible for Aion and Lineage 2.
Itoxi, in turn, will publish the game globally. Itoxi recently acquired the rights to Astellia and otherwise has several unknown mobile games in its portfolio.
According to colleagues from MMORPG.org.pl, about 120 employees are involved in the development of the MMORPG.
When will the game be released? The release in Korea was originally planned for 2021, but it was delayed due to the pandemic. Now the launch is supposed to take place in 2022 and will also occur directly in the West, according to MMORPG.org.pl.
In a quote, it states that EGON: Inferna Bellum, according to Kim Yeong-Seong, is aimed at both Korean and Western players.
Currently, however, only players with a Korean phone number can pre-register for the MMORPG.
