Age of Wushu 2 is set to become a sandbox survival game that gives players much more freedom. Players will start in the city of Suzhou and will have to find their own path from there.
Eastern survival game is expected to differ greatly from western survival games
The producer says: In western survival titles, it is mostly about building weapons to become stronger. In Age of Wushu 2, it will follow the Wuxia tradition: It is more important to refine the spirit and body.
In the West, the focus is more on resource gathering, while in Age of Wushu 2, social interaction with others will be more prominent. Instead of mining ore oneself, it will be more important to build a good relationship with the NPC who owns the mine. Players should be able to pay protection money and demand protection money.
In combat, it will be important to study the opponent closely to predict their actions and find suitable reactions.
The producer does not believe that Asian players will experience culture shock with so much freedom. They are used to such games by now, thanks to the success of Minecraft.
