The free-to-play MMORPG Age of Conan is working on a matchmaking system for raids and dungeons.
In the developer update in November, Funcom’s Age of Conan spoke about the “Dungeon and Raid Finder.” This aims to give casual players the chance to experience challenging content in a toned-down form.
To use the raid finder, no minimum gear will be required; one raid encounter will be selected per week, and players will be directly transported there. Loot will be given on a “personal basis” directly to the inventory – and they still plan to provide “assistance” if a group fails too often. It all sounds like WoW.
The system of “Arena encounters” does not sound like WoW. These will be solo tasks for players that are paired with their companions or allies. However, not much has been revealed here yet.
