Many of the Disney villains are just as popular among the fanbase as the well-known heroes. Following books, board games, and their own movies and series, a villains land is now set to follow, focusing mainly on well-known characters like Maleficent.
What is this villains land? At this year’s D23, an exhibition for upcoming Disney content, new films and series were announced. Among them were works like Frozen 3, The Incredibles 3, and Zootopia 2.
Accompanying the films and series was an announcement for a villains land at Disney World in Orlando. This is sure to delight many fans, as Disney villains are more successful than one might think.

As Polygon reports, Josh D’Amaro, the head of Disney Parks, has announced plans for a new area in Disney World in Orlando. This area is to become a villains land, featuring attractions about iconic Disney villains. D’Amaro stated the following:
We love our Disney villains, don’t we? Their evil ambition gives us endless opportunities to tell brand new stories. […] This land will be the home of the villains you know and those you despise, which means a happy life in the future could be a distant dream.

There will be new attractions, shops, and restaurants. This announcement aligns with many other Disney content releases featuring villains in recent years. Maleficent has received two successful live-action films starring Angelina Jolie, and the Descendants series has reportedly achieved great success on Disney Plus. (via The Walt Disney Company)
