The notorious quest “Balance of Power” from Legion will be significantly more pleasant. World of Warcraft Dragonflight brings a long-awaited change.
Some tasks in World of Warcraft require a lot of time and endurance, but they lure with a very impressive reward. During the expansion “Legion,” this was the quest line “Balance of Power.” Many hours, days, or weeks had to be invested to complete this quest line and unlock the new artifact appearances. A nightmare, especially for players who play multiple characters – as the work had to be done multiple times.
What is this quest line? You probably only came into contact with the quest line if you played actively during the times of “Legion.” It is a quest line that consists of a total of 35 individual quests and requires a lot of work. This includes not only several visits to the raids “Emerald Nightmare” and “The Nighthold,” but also many dungeon visits and quite a bit of reputation grinding.
What will change? With Patch 10.0.7, the completion of the quest line is somewhat changed. Once completed, this is considered finished account-wide, and you no longer have to complete it on multiple characters.
What does this mean? This means that in the future, you will immediately unlock the associated artifact appearance with all other characters and classes. The time savings are enormous because completing the whole quest line previously required several weeks per character.
However, nothing changes regarding the additional artifact appearances of other colors that you can unlock once you have obtained the first artifact appearance from “Balance of Power.” These unlocks remain tied to individual characters, but are at least significantly easier to obtain. For this, you must:
- Defeat 8 of the 11 world bosses from Legion.
- Complete a “Mythic+” dungeon at level 15 or higher within the time limit.
- Complete all dungeon achievements from Legion.
All these tasks, however, only require a fraction of the time that the entire quest line would otherwise consume.
When will the change come? There is no specific date yet for the release of Patch 10.0.7. However, since the patch is already on the PTR, one can expect a release in 4-8 weeks. As soon as there is an official date, we will of course report on it.
