EA asked the community on social platforms which icon they think is missing in FC 25. A clear favorite emerged in the comments for many fans. Let’s look at what a possible new icon could look like.
What is this survey about? On June 17, 2025, EA posted the following question on the popular social media accounts of EA Sports FC via X, Facebook, and Instagram (German account):
Who are the greatest in football history? Tell us in the comments a new ICON that you would include in your future Dream Team.
Fans were allowed to suggest their favorite legends that they would most like for their future teams. Around 6,000 comments were made under the surveys, bringing numerous suggestions. Especially on X, one clear favorite emerged.
Which favorite do the fans have? Under the poll on X, only one proposed player name received over 1,000 likes twice:
Both the EA-FC service site “Futbin” and content creator “Nate – TheFutAccountant” advocate for the return of Zlatan Ibrahimović as an icon. They receive much support from other users. Futbin received over 1,100 likes for the comment, Nate even over 1,800 likes.
Who is Zlatan Ibrahimović? The 1.95 m tall Swedish striker ended his active career in 2023. His last official card in Ultimate Team could be played in FIFA 23.
On the pitch, he created many spectacular moments that many football fans may know well. Despite his height, the robust attacker was a true artist with the ball. Bicycle kicks from 40 m or unique backheel goals and passes from 2 m high are just a glimpse of his skills. That’s why he was also nicknamed “Ibrakadabra.”

What Ibrahimović could be like as an Icon in EA FC
What might an Icon card of Ibrahimović in EA FC look like? Below, we give an assessment of what a potential icon of the Swede could look like based on the strongest Ibrahimović gold card in the history of Ultimate Team.
Ibrahimović reached his highest rating in FIFA 15. There, as a forward in the service of Paris Saint-Germain, he received a 90 gold card with the following stats (via futbin):

Icons are among the best cards in EA FC and are characterized by high ratings and strong stats. Should Ibrahimović become an icon in FC 26 or future successors, we can imagine that his legend card would be based on the base values from FIFA 15.
Additionally, the card could certainly receive a legend bonus for some stats, allowing us to predict an 88 icon with the following values for Ibrahimović:
- Speed: 81
- Shooting: 92
- Passing: 83
- Dribbling: 88
- Defense: 45
- Physical: 88
As play styles, Acrobatics, Power Shot, or Flair would be suitable. While Acrobatics and Flair would highlight his spectacular volley shots or stylish backheel passes, the Power Shot would remind of Ibrahimović’s powerful finishes.
With an 88 rating, he would rank among numerous forward legends like Cantona or Drogba.
In conclusion, we emphasize again that this is only a prediction based on fan voting. Whether Ibrahimović will even appear in FC 26 or other successors is not foreseeable at this time.
