Last week, the MMORPG Lost Ark conducted a beta test that random applicants and founders could participate in. How did you like it?
On November 4, Lost Ark started its Closed Beta, allowing many interested players to try out the MMORPG for the first time since the announcement. The beta keys were either given randomly through the participation registration, through drops on Twitch, through giveaways, or, if you were particularly excited about the MMORPG, through the founder packs.
There was also an alpha test, but it was brief and the number of participants was severely limited. However, a large number of fans were able to extensively test the game over a week, many of them for the first time.
What you could test: The content of the beta was numerous and widely distributed:
- The complete campaign of Lost Ark up to level 50
- All available classes in the EU version
- With the Power Pass, you could also quickly reach the endgame of Lost Ark and try out the content yourself
- Collecting resources and leveling Life Skills
- The extensive sailing and other content of the MMORPG
So there was plenty to do in the week, and many fans invested several dozen hours of gameplay into the beta test.
Additionally, there were some changes compared to the alpha test. Now, all classes share the same prologue, which they must play through to become familiar with the gameplay mechanics of the MMORPG. Originally, each base class had its own backstory. These have now been merged into a single prologue.

When will Lost Ark be released? There is currently no exact release date. After the delay from autumn 2021 to the first quarter of 2022, Amazon has not yet commented on a date.
