As Cryptic Studios announces, tomorrow, on June 2nd, the ninth class of the MMORPG Neverwinter will finally be revealed. It will be the first new class since 2016. Fans are now speculating: Is the Druid finally coming?
Not many probably expected this. After more than 5 years, the MMORPG Neverwinter is receiving a new class.
Developer Cryptic Studios announced this via their official Twitter account. It will be the ninth class overall. Now another class is being added. Which could it be?
Is one of the most important classes from D&D actually coming to Neverwinter?
Which class could now come to Neverwinter? Under the Twitter announcement, players are already speculating which character will be announced.
Most agree: It will be the Druid. It was already discussed as a new addition to Neverwinter in 2018.
What was speculated back then? Back then, a tarot card depicting the Druid was published on the Facebook page for Neverwinter. For many players, a definite hint. Since then, however, nothing has happened.
What can the Druid do? Druids are one of the standard classes in D&D. In almost every setting of Dungeons & Dragons, nature mages appear.
Their specialties are nature magic, summoning various pets, and transforming into large monsters. Druids are very versatile and are a popular class in D&D.
In the D&D MMORPG Neverwinter, however, you will look in vain for Druids. The class is simply not present.
When will there be more information? From June 2nd, we will know which class will now come to Neverwinter. According to the Twitter post, there should be details about the new class via IGN (via Twitter.com/IGN).
What classes are currently available? These are the 8 classes from Neverwinter:
- Oathbound Paladin
- Guardian Fighter
- Tactical Wizard
- Beware Ranger
- Two-Handed Weapon Fighter
- Cleric of Faith
- Devastator Warlock
- Trickster Rogue
Each of the classes has their MMO-typical characteristics and fields of application. For example, Clerics of Faith and Oathbound Paladins serve as healers, while the Guardian Fighter is more suitable as a solo class.
