Bloodlines 2 is the continuation of the popular role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade, which was originally released in 2004. Now, 20 years later, the developers want to impress again with vampire action and show the first gameplay in the trailer. Fans are excited about this, but they also wish for more.
What is it about? In Bloodlines 2, you will fight your way through modern Seattle as an ancient vampire ancestor, dealing not only with her voice in your head.
- As a vampire, blood is your main source of nourishment, and you must obtain it discreetly. At night, you lure your victims into the dark alleys of the metropolis and take their blood.
- Just make sure not to get caught. Because once your masquerade falls, it’s not just the police on your tail.
Additionally, Seattle is on the brink of open war, and you will have to decide who should rule the city and what will become of it.
What does the trailer show? The trailer primarily showcases the combat mechanics you can expect in this first-person game. You can see the character knocking out enemies with quick punches or using shockwaves to throw them to the ground.
There is also a kind of “blood attack” demonstrated. The blood lashes out at your enemies almost like a whip and knocks them down.
The trailer also gives you a glimpse into the dark and less pleasant corners of Seattle, effectively building the entire atmosphere of the “underworld of a metropolis”.
What do players say about the experience? Players are excited about the beautiful gameplay they see but wish to see a bit more from the game, as is evident in the comments on Youtube.
- Jestergodfield690 writes that they now want to see what the first part was known for: role-playing decisions and great dialogues.
Many of the remaining commentators feel the same way.
There is definitely great excitement about a continuation, after fans were rather disappointed by the developer in the past.
The hope is that the second part will possess the same charm as its predecessor. Whether this will be fulfilled, however, will probably only be shown in future trailers and announcements.
