Even more character customization options are coming with WoW: Shadowlands. Humans can choose entirely new face shapes!
The character customization in World of Warcraft has been somewhat neglected in the years following its release. While some games allow for characters with countless details, WoW has a rather meager selection, resulting in many characters looking alike. With Shadowlands, this is supposed to change, and all core races will receive a variety of new options. One of these is something entirely new for WoW – the face shape can be customized. The colleagues at wowhead discovered this in the latest Alpha update.
What was discovered? Humans will have an additional choice when creating their character, namely the face shape. This is available for both males and females. This allows for the selection of the shape of the face. While it determines only small details, such as the fullness of the cheeks, the width of the chin, and thus the size of the mouth. A new, but pretty cool detail that will make human characters look different.
Here is the image of the females. The differences can be well seen, especially in the shape of the lips.
And here are the males – the different shape and width of the chin makes the biggest difference here.
Ultimately, this is one of several small innovations that, in their sum, will lead to unique characters.
What else is coming? Aside from the new face shapes for humans, a few new details for undead have also been discovered. They can now choose from a variety of eye colors. Currently, these new colors are available for both genders:
- Yellow
- Orange
- Purple
- Green
- Blue
- White
- Gray (blind)
Gnomes and Goblins also receive a few new beards. Surely more adjustments will follow in the coming days and weeks.
