Guy Ritchie is back with Sherlock Holmes, but this time it’s very different from what you might expect.
The British director Guy Ritchie returns to Sherlock Holmes after 13 years. However, fans of the original films with Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson will have to be strong now: There will be no third part of Sherlock Holmes. Guy Ritchie is now taking a different path and is officially filming an Amazon series called Young Sherlock Holmes

Guy Ritchie brings back Sherlock Holmes: New series with young detective on Amazon
What will the series be about? The new series is based on the novels by Andy Lane that deal with the adventures of the young Sherlock Holmes.
At the University of Oxford, 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes becomes involved in a mysterious murder case that threatens his own freedom. Completely undisciplined, he dives deep into his first case and uncovers a global conspiracy that will change his life forever.
Who will play the lead role? Hero Fiennes Tiffin, known as young Voldemort in Harry Potter and from the After
film series, will take on the role of the young detective. Ritchie and Tiffin also recently worked together on the action film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
The popular character is to be reinterpreted. Guy Ritchie himself expressed enthusiasm about this project and stated to Variety that the series would provide a fresh and exciting perspective on the famous detective.
He says the following:
In young Sherlock, we will see a new and exciting version of the detective that everyone thinks they know, in a way that one has never imagined before. We will decode this enigmatic character, find out what motivates him, and learn how he became the genius that we all love.

Young Sherlock Holmes is described according to Variety as an “action-packed origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective in an explosive reinterpretation of this iconic character.”
When will the series be released? So far, it is not yet known when Young Sherlock Holmes will start on Amazon. Matthew Parkhill, known for his work on the series Deep State
and Rogue
