Emily Rudd will be seen in the new live-action series adaptation of One Piece as Nami. In an interview, she spoke about her character and revealed who the real boss on board is.
Soon, the new series One Piece will launch on Netflix. It is a live-action adaptation of the popular manga series, which also has a very well-known anime.
In an interview with Gamesradar, actress Emily Rudd talked about how she would describe her character and why the crew would be lost without Nami.

“Who controls the money? Who steers the ship?”
When asked how Emily Rudd would describe her character in three words, she used the terms: clever, protective, and loving.
The character is the “brain” of the crew, she explained, looking out for the crew members while also being able to outsmart others. Additionally, Nami doesn’t reveal much about herself and has a secret or two.
However, even though the character may not always seem that way, Nami acts mainly out of love and care.
The interviewer then tells the actress that someone would describe the relationship between Nami and Luffy as: “Luffy is the captain, but Nami is the boss.”
Emily Rudd completely agrees:
Oh, definitely! The way she is the only one who controls the money, and they say: “Nami, can I please have some pocket money?” And she says: “You get 20 Berry, have fun,” and that’s it. I love it.
Of course, she does that. Of course, she mothers these people. They are just crazy, silly guys.

Later, the actress is also asked who she would name as the most powerful member of the Straw Hat crew. Emily Rudd had two answers.
First, she mentioned that only one of the crew members is one of the “Four Emperors.” However, she did not reveal who for spoiler reasons. Secondly, she named her character and explained:
But if I have to talk about our team, I say Nami, because she is the boss, as we said. Who controls the money? Who steers the ship?
Without her, you can’t go anywhere and without her, you can’t buy anything, you’re stuck, sorry.
