In 2014 it was slightly less, as Kotick earned $6.9 million.
He is not the top earner. The COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the company, Thomas Tippl, received $8.9 million in 2015, while Tippl stood at $15.7 million the previous year.
Compensation packages refer to financial and non-financial benefits that senior corporate employees receive as pay.
Activision-Blizzard is considered one of the 100 best employers in the USA. The company publishes games like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Destiny, and many others.
