What kind of game is it? Chronicon (PC) is an action RPG on Steam, released in 2020 and developed by Subworld.

The game immerses you in a world where evil has been completely defeated and every treasure chest has been looted. To still allow you to hack through hordes of enemies and collect loot in typical hack ‘n’ slay fashion, the people created a mysterious device called Chronicon.

The Chronicon has a special ability. It can create a portal to the memories of heroes from days gone by, who have long since passed away. With this portal, chosen people can revive the history, step into the shoes of former heroes, and fight the evil of the past. And loot treasure chests.

From the Templar Knights to the Witcher

What gameplay does the game offer? Chronicon has a campaign with 5 acts, each telling its own story and leading you into procedurally generated areas. These can be played alone or in couch co-op on a shared screen.

Additionally, there are a total of four classes to choose from. You decide which one suits you best: the Templar Knight, the Berserker, the Guardian, or the Witcher?

Besides the classes, Chronicon offers over 400 items with special abilities and over 700 items with randomly assigned enchantments and properties, build-altering powers, and set items.

Moreover, you can rely on craftsmanship and upgrade your equipment with gemstones, sockets, and runes or enhance your character with over 900 learnable skills.

In general, your character progression in Chronicon is unlimited, as you can play endless mastery strands. Additionally, there is a hardcore mode that is intended to challenge particularly ambitious players.

The endgame of the action RPG also offers enough content for more hours of gameplay, as at this point specific dungeons, bosses, and crafting mechanics are unlocked.
