After some rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch Pro, it should be this week. Because then you should be able to pre-order the console.
What happened? Currently, there are some rumors circulating around the Nintendo Switch Pro that are generating a lot of interest in the community (via reddit). These claim:
- The Nintendo Switch Pro will be officially presented on Thursday, June 3
- On June 4, in other words, this Friday, you will already be able to pre-order the new console
Nintendo itself has not yet commented on this. So far, there is only the regular Switch and the Switch Lite available for purchase. Nintendo has been silent about a possible Pro version. Therefore, you should take the following rumors with a grain of caution.
Leak shows American retailer listing Nintendo Switch Pro
This is what the leak shows: The user “Centro Leaks” revealed on Twitter that he received a screenshot indicating that a retailer should list a Switch device starting June 4. However, Centro Leaks mentions neither the retailer nor his source.
In another post, he adds that this is an American retailer that is not listing his product in the USA. In the comments, Walmart Canada or Amazon Mexico is now being guessed.
Because this would align with other rumors that are currently circulating. Just recently, a listing for the product “New Nintendo Switch Pro” surfaced on Amazon Mexico, which was later swapped for another product ID.
The Nintendo insider Shpeshal_Nick also speculated that the Switch Pro will be officially presented on Thursday, June 3. A possible pre-order the next day would then be a possible conclusion.
What kind of leaker is this? “Centro Leaks” is especially known for Pokémon leaks that have often been accurate. For example, he correctly predicted a remake of the Diamond and Pearl editions of the Pokémon games and published some details about the new mobile game “Pokémon Unite”.
The Nintendo Switch Pro could have the same “problems” as PS5 and Xbox Series X
Some rumors suggest that the console will officially be available in autumn 2021. At the same time, there are fears that the Switch Pro could also be hardly available. Because the semiconductor shortage in the industry also affects the production of the portable console.
The current Nintendo Switch is already in high demand and the price remains stable at around 300 euros for the regular console. With a Switch Pro that could offer more power, a better monitor, and additional features, the interest is correspondingly high.
