In the shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, things seem to get really exciting again. A well-known leaker has found info about an upcoming Season 7.
Here’s the state of Modern Warfare: After the release of CoD: Cold War, there was significantly less news about the game. At the end of September 2020, Season 6 was released there, and with it, the last substantial content came.
After that, many players felt that the focus was shifting to Cold War and Modern Warfare was being neglected or even intentionally downgraded.
However, it could get exciting again, as a leaker has found info about Season 7 and many new contents that could soon come to the game.
What could be in an upcoming Season 7
This is what the leak reveals: The leak from the YouTuber “TheGamingRevolution” includes several innovations. According to his statements, they should be marked with “Season 7”. These include:
- Two bundles with new characters – They revolve around the well-known CoD characters Soap and Sparks, with Soap being an MW icon.
- 4 new multiplayer maps
- Further info on 3 new weapons that were leaked earlier
These are the new maps: 2 of the new maps are set to come to the 2vs2 mode Gunfight. They are called Townhouse and Drainage. One of the two maps is supposed to reference a campaign mission.
Another map is to be called “Al Raab Airbase” and is completely new for multiplayer. According to the leak, it should be a large outdoor map with a hangar in the center.
The last new map is named “Killhouse”. It originates from 2007 and Call of Duty 4. Until now, it has only been reintroduced in Call of Duty: Mobile and could now also celebrate its release in Modern Warfare.
These are the found weapons: First off, there’s the Sykov pistol. It has already been wrongly found in Warzone and appears in the leaks for Modern Warfare as well.
Additionally, there were new details about the CX-9. This SMG has also appeared in previous CoD titles and was already unlockable before the official release through a challenge.
Last but not least, we have the RAAL MG. There is also further info available. In general, ways to unlock all 3 weapons in Modern Warfare have been discovered.
What does this mean for Modern Warfare? If the leak is correct, new content for the shooter could arrive soon, and the game might get exciting again.
Interestingly, the Season 2 of CoD Cold War will also start soon. If new content for Modern Warfare is released simultaneously or a bit later, it could create internal competition.
What you need to keep in mind: So far, this is just a leak. The leaker, however, is TheGamingRevolution, who has accurately predicted many things surrounding Modern Warfare and Warzone in the past. So consider the info with a certain degree of skepticism but keep in mind that it might soon get exciting in Modern Warfare again.
When is Season 7 supposed to come? There is no specific date for it yet. However, TheGamingRevolution believes it might be as soon as March 11. According to several other reliable leakers, there is also a major event taking place in Warzone around that time.
What else is happening? Things are getting really exciting in Cold War and Warzone right now. Season 2 has been announced, which will change the map in CoD Warzone and bring 2 new modes.
