About Us

Because Rae was not allowed to have a Game Boy as a child, she took revenge on her parents by becoming an online editor for video games. After seven years at GamePro, she made the leap to the overarching editorial team of Webedia Gaming in 2022, where she now takes care of Mein MMO alongside GameStar, GameStar Tech, and GamePro. When she’s not putting questionable hours into questionable online shooters, she loves to read books, build Lego, or try to keep her home jungle alive. She now owns a Game Boy.

After Leya started as a freelance author in September 2016, she took over the position of Brand Manager in May 2019, dealing with content planning, project management, team leadership, and brand awareness. In February 2021, Leya became the Editor-in-Chief of MeinMMO and has been leading the entire editorial team ever since. She especially enjoys playing RPGs, adventures, atmospheric indie games, and occasionally shooters.

Sophia started her career in the Webedia cosmos back in 2020 and has been active as Managing Editor at MeinMMO since September 2023. Her main tasks include everything related to planning in the editorial daily routine. Final Fantasy XIV is her favorite game, closely followed by Baldur’s Gate 3. In general, she enthusiastically tackles most RPGs. In her free time, she is a real-life crafter for various hobbies like Dungeons & Dragons or LARP. However, she spends most of her time with her dog Loki, the best garden accident of all time.

Karsten has been writing about the best genre in the world (you know, MMORPGs) since 2009, and since March 2024, he has been able to do that for MeinMMO. With his experience, he makes the perfect addition to the juniors. At the same time, he learns something new every day– like about Papa’s Latte and other Twitch personalities. When he isn’t writing or gaming, Karsten spends his time with his family. The two boys want to be worn out every day, after all.

Benedict has been on board as a freelance author since August 2017 and became a full editor in June 2021. He plays everything that gaming has to offer – which often means he tests the completely wild titles for us. He also loves challenges; Souls games and competitiveness are always in high demand. When his PC is off, he often finds himself at the table with pen and paper or good board games. Tactical role-playing games are therefore a big hobby of his.

Lydia has been writing for MeinMMO as a freelance author since July 2022 and has been a full editor since July 2023. As a teenager, she learned more English in the chats of various MMOs than ever in school. In games, Lydia loves variety: from tricky indie adventures to colorful creature collectors to action-packed roguelites and turn-based RPGs, everything can be found in her collection. Magic: The Gathering holds a special place in her heart, whether as classic paper magic or in the form of MTGA.

Dariusz has been with MeinMMO since 2022, initially as a freelance author and since December 2023 as a full editor. His specialty is shooters of all kinds. He is a big fan of competitive games like Rainbow Six: Siege and Valorant, but PvE titles like Helldivers 2 and Destiny are also part of his repertoire. However, his great passion remains the Pokémon series, which he regularly dives into.

Niko has been writing for MeinMMO as a freelancer since 2023. Since June 2024 he is a full editor focusing on movies and series. His favorite films come from South Korea and Japan. Aside from that, he loves to fight in fighting games or hunt gigantic creatures in Monster Hunter. The latter may also stem from the fact that his father introduced him to Godzilla at a young age. The love for the giant lizard has persisted to this day.

Alex has been on board as a junior editor at MeinMMO since November 2024 and loves to sail across the seas of various MMORPGs and role-playing games. Since childhood, his heart has beaten for heroes of fantastic worlds, visually stunning adventures, and RPGs where a Nat20 can do anything – well, almost anything. Outside of epic adventures, he can also be motivated by cozy games and farming games. His favorite games include Final Fantasy XIV, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Dragon Age: Origins.

Anna joined the MeinMMO team as a freelance video producer in October 2021 and has been a permanent member of Webedia Gaming since July 2022. She is particularly interested in MMORPGs like World of Warcraft but also enjoys playing Fortnite and many survival games. She also fondly looks back on her time in League of Legends, where she fought for ever higher rankings for many years. Photography and videography are integral to her lifestyle and she is always followed by her camera.

Max has been a freelance collaborator for MeinMMO since September 2018 and mainly focuses on the FIFA series as a passionate football fan. Otherwise, he is engaged in almost all genres of the gaming world, whether on PS4 or Nintendo Switch.

Julian has been a freelance author at MeinMMO since February 2019. He can often be found in front of the console since childhood and wouldn’t go anywhere nowadays without his Nintendo Switch. Aside from that, he probably spends most of his time with FIFA. But games like Battlefield V and Destiny have also caught his attention.

After Johanna completed acting training and then realized that she did not want to work as an actress, she tried her luck with her second passion: writing. At MeinMMO, Johanna has been primarily writing about Twitch news since July 2024, but a guide or two sneaks in occasionally. Her favorite games include Horizon Zero Dawn, Animal Crossing, and The Last of Us II. When Johanna is not found in front of her PlayStation, her nose is probably buried in a book.

Since Pokémon has been a big deal for Paul since childhood, he has been writing for MeinMMO as a freelance author on Pokémon GO and related topics since November 2023. When he’s not hunting down the little monsters, you can also find him in simulations, in the wasteland, or building with LEGO bricks. Of course, lightsaber and magic wand are never missing.
