Rock-type Pokémon will be found more often! Kleinstein, Liliep, and Nasgnet were specifically mentioned by the developers. You should find them more frequently in the wild during the event.
Further bonuses of the event include that your buddy Pokémon will collect candies four times faster. So, put on your running shoes and walk particularly far with your buddies during the event.

More experience points: Are you still collecting experience points on your way to Level 40? No problem. The event rewards you with additional XP for spinning photo discs at PokéStops or gyms. You get especially a lot of experience points when you visit a PokéStop or a gym for the first time. Here, trainers can expect up to ten times more experience points.
You can make the most of the event if you are often on the go. Spinning stops is rewarded just like walking with your buddy Pokémon. It’s best to go to a city or village where you have not played before. There, you’ll collect the most experience points!
