Africa also provides a fresh setting. The story is, typical for the series, once again a B-movie trash fest filled with absurd situations. These are also beautifully staged in quick-time events.
Fans of the series can also look forward to the return of the probably most iconic villain of the series.
Aside from that, there is again good gameplay. With various weapons, you have to fight your way through linear levels that also invite for easy exploration. The game is designed for co-op, which is why it is most fun with friends.
The true appeal of the series, the constant replaying, unlocking, and upgrading of equipment, is also present in Resident Evil 5, and the more you play through the game, the more you become the unstoppable action hero.
A great co-op experience

Resident Evil 5 is not the best part of the series, but it is a fantastic co-op experience that I have replayed several times. It has many strengths of the series, such as good pacing, great action, and above all, the B-movie charm that I love so much.
